What is KITDO?

What is Kitdo made of?

KITDO is made of lightweight aluminium , finished with a high-shine, no water coating technology known as PVD to enhance its aesthetic and durability. It comprises two strong magnet inserts with a fitted cover piece on each side, giving the accessory a premium feel.

KITDO may look heavy, but it only weighs 40 grams, which is equivalent to 3 tablespoons of sugar!

Which fabrics work with KITDO?

KITDO works perfectly with thinner fabrics like silk, cotton, and linen. Such fabrics that are lightweight and have a smoother surface allow the magnet to securely attach without causing any damage.

On the other hand, for cases with fabrics that  are made of heavier materials and a more textured surface, such as chunky knits and thick woolly coats, KITDO would be more suitable to use as a brooch as a way to accessorise.

Can KITDO get scratched?

Just like with any accessory, when a KITDO  comes into contact with a hard surface, it can result in scratches, dents, or other forms of damage. 

To minimise any harm to the KITDO, a microfiber pouch is included with every purchase.  Not only does this protect the KITDO when it is stored, but it can also be used as a polishing cloth.

Is KITDO sustainable?

KITDO is designed with sustainability in mind. The product is manufactured in a closed-loop production process, meaning the materials used can be repeatedly reused with minimal waste, and its casing is made primarily from aluminium.

Furthermore, our packaging box is made from 100% recyclable paper, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to be made from responsibly sourced wood. The pouch that comes along with every KITDO is also made from biodegradable microfibre material.
