Summer dressing gets more interesting when familiar pieces can shift with the body. In this interview, Style by Limor shares how the KITDO clip helps reshape wardrobe staples, adjust silhouettes, and make favorite pieces work in new ways without permanent alterations.

1. How would you describe your personal style?

I would describe my style using Tibi founder Amy Smilovic’s Creative Pragmatist approach: chill, modern, and classic, usually with one unexpected element.

I have always been drawn to masculine and androgynous pieces, but I like to balance them with something more feminine. That contrast is what makes an outfit feel interesting and personal to me.

2. Since we’re at the end of summer, what’s one look or trend you’re really loving right now?

After years of being devoted to high rise jeans, I am very into lower rises right now. It started before I became pregnant, and now they have obviously become even more essential.

I am also loving fringe and anything with a slightly vintage seventies feeling. More than any one trend, though, I am happy that we seem to be moving away from the quiet luxury era. It often felt like individuality was missing. I would not call myself a maximalist, but I love seeing people dress that way and taking inspiration from how they mix color, texture, and personality.

3. What’s your go to tip for remixing pieces you already own into fresh, standout summer outfits?

Before buying something new, try changing the shape or context of something you already own.

When I work with clients, I often find that the problem is not that they need more clothes. It is that they have only imagined wearing each piece one way.

An oversized cotton button down, for example, can be worn open as a light summer jacket, buttoned with shorts, reshaped into a more fitted top, or even worn as a skirt. Changing the proportions can make a familiar piece feel completely new.

I also love using accessories to bring an outfit into summer. Fun jewelry, a raffia bag, or anything that gives a little vacation energy can completely change a simple look, even in the middle of a hot New York City summer.

4. If you were packing a mini festival capsule for a summer getaway, say three tops, two bottoms, and two pairs of shoes, what would you bring, and how would you style them?

For bottoms, I would bring wide leg linen trousers and a pair of silk Bermuda shorts.

My three tops would be an oversized graphic T shirt, an oversized cotton button down, and a more feminine blouse. I would look for something sleeveless with ruffles or defined waist, or perhaps something with soft puffed sleeves.

For shoes, I would bring a thong sandal and a pair of cool, comfortable sneakers.

I would wear the graphic T shirt with the silk Bermuda shorts and sneakers/sandals for that mix of casual and polished that I love. The feminine blouse with the linen trousers and flip flops would work beautifully for dinner. The button down could be layered over every outfit, worn on its own, or reshaped with KITDO.

Everything could be mixed together, but the contrast between the masculine and feminine pieces would keep the capsule feeling personal and interesting.

5. What’s a wardrobe dilemma you solved after adding a KITDO clip to your looks?

Maybe it is my former engineer brain, but I need styling solutions to be both creative and practical.

A lot of the tucking, tying, and draping tricks we see on social media look great in a photo, but you immediately know they will not survive real life. You will spend the whole day adjusting them or worrying that everything is about to come undone.

KITDO is a game changer because it makes those ideas genuinely wearable. It looks incredibly chic, takes seconds to use, and does not damage delicate fabrics in the way that a brooch or safety pin sometimes can.

Most importantly, it gives you new ways to shape and wear clothes you already own.
To me, that is what great styling should do.

6. And finally, any upcoming trip planned?

I am heading to Israel with my husband and daughter to spend time with family before I become too far along in my pregnancy to enjoy the journey.

We are also stopping in Rome for a few days on the way there to enjoy the heat wave :)

Limor’s approach is a reminder that great styling often starts with changing the shape of what is already in the closet. A button-down can become more fitted. A loose layer can be cinched or draped. A familiar piece can take on a new silhouette with one small adjustment.
