Inside Marmalade Brooklyn: Vintage Charm & Kitdo Styling
By Denise Ho
A visit to Marmalade Brooklyn brought an online conversation into the store, where meeting Kasey quickly turned into an impromptu styling session. The connection began with a DM about Kitdo styling accessories, making a little outfit experimentation a fitting way to spend time together.
The Family Story Behind Marmalade Brooklyn
Kasey’s connection to retail began early. Her mom started Marmalade, and as a young girl, Kasey would join her at buying appointments, growing up around the business that now has five stores worldwide.
Hearing that background gave the visit a personal dimension, especially as Kasey spoke about her relationships with clients and her love of small brands. Those conversations offered a glimpse into the care behind the boutique’s selection.
Her work also extends into tech, where she helps brands turn customers and fans into creators and affiliates. That side of her story deserves its own post.

Kasey played around with her MagniClip Glossy Sterling and eventually landed on an asymmetric hem look.
Playing with Kitdo at Marmalade Brooklyn
With Kasey’s outfit as the starting point, the conversation soon turned to styling.
Clipping Kitdo onto her shirt created an asymmetric crop, changing the shape of the top. A second adjustment shortened her bubble skirt, gathering the fabric into a flowing drape across the front.
Beautiful, no? Her socks paired with Marni flats deserve a closer look, too.
The session offered a playful example of how a small adjustment can give familiar clothes a different feel. For a closer look at the technique, explore the guide to styling clothes with Kitdo.
Fashion Week Conversations at Marmalade Brooklyn
Kasey had recently returned from Copenhagen Fashion Week and shared how much she prefers it to Paris. Her perspective brought another dimension to the conversation, shaped by a childhood spent attending buying appointments with her mom.
Talking fashion while experimenting with an outfit made the visit feel wonderfully informal, with room to follow an idea and see how it looked.

Taking Home Fresh Kitdo Styling Ideas
The visit began with a connection made online and became an opportunity to get creative together in person. Marmalade Brooklyn provided the setting, while Kasey’s outfit became a chance to explore a different silhouette.
