KITDO is a two-piece magnetic accessory that unlocks the hidden potential of your closet. What is KITDO made of?

KITDO is crafted from lightweight aluminium, so it's durable yet easy to wear. Its finish comes from PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), a dry coating process that adds shine and durability without using water. Inside are two strong magnet inserts, each with a fitted cover piece, for a secure hold and a premium look and feel.

How much does KITDO weigh?

Lighter than it looks! MagniClip weighs just 40 g (about the same as 3 tablespoons of sugar). MiniMagni weighs 30 g.

Which fabrics work with KITDO?

KITDO loves lightweight, smooth fabrics like silk, cotton, linen and fine knits, so it's perfect for tees, shirts, dresses and scarves. Use it to add texture, change a silhouette or resize a piece by looping and bonding the fabric together.

On thicker, textured fabrics such as chunky knits and heavy wool coats, the magnets may not hold as firmly, so wear KITDO as a brooch-style accent instead. Try it to secure a scarf over your coat for an easy layered look.

Will KITDO damage my clothes?

No pins, no holes. KITDO holds fabric between two magnets, so there's nothing to pierce or snag. On very delicate or sheer fabrics, try it on a hidden spot first.

How does KITDO hold, and will it fall off?

The two pieces snap together through your fabric with strong magnets, so it stays put on light to mid-weight fabrics. On chunky knits or thick coats, wear it as a brooch-style accent.

What is CNC?

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. Think of it as a robot machinist guided by a computer: it follows a digital design to carve a precise part from a solid block of material, a bit like a sculptor removing material until only the exact shape is left.

We make KITDO using CNC because it gives us the precision to get every tiny detail right, with the clean lines and high-quality finish you expect.

What is PVD?

PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition, a way of adding a super-thin, durable coating. Think of it as a high-tech "paint job": instead of liquid paint, the coating is turned into a vapour inside a vacuum chamber and bonded to the surface at the molecular level.

PVD gives KITDO its premium finish and lets us offer our colours, from warm Glow gold to cool Sterling silver and deep Nero black, in glossy or satin, while keeping that sleek look through everyday wear.

Can KITDO get scratched?

Like any finely finished accessory, KITDO can scratch or dent if it knocks against hard surfaces. Every KITDO comes with a microfibre pouch to protect it when stored, which doubles as a polishing cloth.

How do I care for small scratches?

Light marks are part of a well-loved KITDO. Gently buff them with your microfibre pouch. Please don't use sandpaper, metal polish or abrasive cleaners, as they can wear away the PVD finish. Worried about a mark? Email a photo to hello@kitdo.co and we'll help.

How do I care for my KITDO?

Wipe it with your microfibre pouch, keep it dry, and store it in its pouch away from keys and other hard objects.

Can KITDO get wet?

A little rain or a splash is no problem: just wipe it dry with your pouch. Avoid swimming, the sea, perfume and harsh chemicals, and don't leave it soaking.

Is KITDO safe to wear?

KITDO uses strong magnets, so please handle it with a little care. Keep it away from pacemakers and other implanted medical devices, and out of reach of young children. Don't store it against bank cards or other cards with a magnetic strip.

Is KITDO sustainable?

Yes, sustainability is at the heart of KITDO's design:

• Manufacturing: KITDO is produced using a closed-loop process, so materials can be reused repeatedly with minimal waste. The casing is made primarily from aluminium, a durable and recyclable material.
• Packaging: our box is made from 100% recyclable paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), so it comes from responsibly sourced wood.
• Pouch: the included microfibre pouch is made from biodegradable material.

How much is shipping, and how long does it take?

US: standard shipping is $10 USD for 1 item (6-10 business days), and express is $60 USD (4-6 business days). Standard shipping is free on orders of 2+ items, and every Style Pack ships free.

Hong Kong: free shipping.

Everywhere else: rates are shown at checkout. Delivery takes around 5-8 days in Asia and 6-10 days in the rest of the world.

We dispatch twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Orders placed before 1pm Hong Kong time (HKT) on a dispatch day go out that day; later orders go out on the next dispatch day. More details on our Shipping & Returns page.

Is express shipping free on Style Packs or 2+ item orders?

Free shipping covers standard delivery. Want it faster? Express is $60 USD and arrives in 4-6 business days in the US.

How do I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details. Can't find it? Email hello@kitdo.co with your order number.

Will I pay import duties or customs?

US orders: KITDO covers US import duties, so there are no duties or fees to pay on delivery.

Other countries: any local import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient. Rules vary by country, so check with your local customs office if you're unsure.

What's your return policy?

You can request a return or exchange within 14 days of delivery. Email hello@kitdo.co with your order number to start. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is paid by you; if your KITDO is faulty or damaged, or we sent the wrong item, we'll cover return shipping. Full details in our Refund Policy.
