Bethune House x KITDO (Part 2)
By Denise Ho
On the 29th to the 30th of March, we hosted a charity photo exhibition “OUT" in supporting Bethune House, a non-profit organisation that pioneers shelter services for migrant women workers in Hong Kong. We brought in the most talented local female photographers to create perfect images narrating the stories behind migrant women in Hong Kong. The prints were available for sale and all proceeds raised will be donated to Bethune House.
Bethune House is a non-profit organisation that has pioneered shelter services for migrant women workers, running a lean operation of 3 permanent staff and up to 6 volunteers with 700
cases annually. While constantly working to raise resources for beneficiaries and devoting hours to providing the services, they rely on kind-hearted groups and individuals for donations.
There were 21 photos during the exhibition and each photographer produced 3 images. We are happy to announce that we have raised 50k for Bethune House within two days of the exhibition!
We want to thank all the female photographers, make-up and hair artists, as well as all the ladies from Bethune House, for going through this journey of pushing themselves out of their comfort zones in bringing these beautiful images. As well as our sponsors Soho House, Codigo 1530, Vines & Terroirs, Redress, HULA, Somewhere Nowhere, Tove & Libra, Yan Yan Knits, Chill Loft and Veron Chan.
But most importantly, we want to thank everyone that has attended our exhibition, we cannot express how grateful we are to have you join us in this beautiful journey, we cannot wait to share with you on our next endeavours!
